Located in the Eixample Esquerre Gat Blau is a resaurant born in 2010 offering an excellent, sustainable and healthy cuisine by the young Catalan chef Pere Carrio, who began his career ten years ago with his partner Jo Mestres.

Gat Blau offers set menus for lunch and evening, where we can  taste elaborated proposals with products of proximity, seasonal, organic at a very fair prices related to the quality of the dishes. Among them, we can also taste very fresh and modern vegetarian dishes.

Gat Blau is a simple and pleasant place to relax in the cozy dining room and enjoy the attentive service that will make us feel at home.

Dishes: Leek confit with Brussels sprouts and chive oil. Grilled sardine with tapenade and fennel puree. Spaghetti eco with rocket pesto. Creamy rice with cuttlefish. Tuna tartare with fennel cream. Marinated rabbit terrine with mashed peas.

Atmosphere: Good value for money.
 Set menu: Set dinner menu (22€+wine), Set menu on weekends (Saturday lunch: 22€).

Positive: COMIDA Y SERVICIO EXCELENTES! Mi madre y yo fuimos a comer el fin de semana a las 15:30 de improvisto y salimos encantadas. Yo tengo muchísimas limitaciones en cuanto a los alimentos que puedo comer debido a una enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal, por lo que no sabía que iba a poder encontrar que se adaptase a mis necesidades. El camarero que nos atendió, el mismo que me cogió la reserva con tan solo 30min de antelación, fue encantador con nosotras en todo momento. Al no encontrar nada en la carta que pudiese comer, se tomó la molestia de preguntarme sobre mis intolerancias para poder crearme algo fuera de carta, que pudiese comer y que no fuera un simple filete de pollo a la plancha. Al final disfrutamos de una comida deliciosa, con productos de gran calidad y a un precio excelente. Volveremos sin dudarlo.:)
