In 2021 the Prodigi restaurant was opened. One minute from the Casa de les Punxes, diagonally we find an avant-garde gastronomic space, with an elegant design and a modern atmosphere that has round tables decorated in detail.
Chef and owner Jordi Tarré began his studies at the age of 15. During his training in Catalonia he has passed through restaurants such as Nectari, Hisop, El Celler de Can Roca, among others. Also, when he was in London at the age of 20, he worked at places like the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hyde Park, Ametsa with Arzak Instructions and The Fat Duck.
Upon returning to Barcelona, he joined Oriol Ivern as assistant cook at the Hisop restaurant. There he gained the experience he needed to make his dream of opening Prodigi come true, at the age of 25.
The restaurant offers us a creative and modern cuisine framed within the Catalan tradition. At an affordable price we can savor a tasting set menu, a wine pairing or a weekly set menu that adapts to seasonal foods.
Dishes: Dumpling of duck confit, consommé, celeriac and pickled nizcalos. Hake with pil pil garlic oil, senderuela, fried aubergine and coffee powder. Grilled pigeon with clams, Brussels sprouts and caraway. Black garlic ice cream, molasses cake, black tea, modena and grapes.
