The Casa Madre restaurant was opened in May 2021 by Leo Chechelnitskiy, also responsible for Babula Bar 1937 and Sasha Bar. What was the first Russian restaurant in Barcelona (Nazarovia) and Intertapas in 1996 is now a restaurant to enjoy from tapas or midday vermouth to the dishes of knife, fork and spoon.
It has a reduced set menu of dishes and tapas, in addition to the daily suggestions, where raw materials and well-cooked seasonal products are prioritized. The 20 dishes are classics of Mediterranean cuisine and are made with the creative touch of chef Bigorra. The restaurant has a sampler of 14 signature cocktails and 20 national and international wine references.
Casa Madre has a terrace with eight tables on Avinguda Gaudí where we can enjoy views of the Sagrada Família Basilica. The restaurant team is made up of Santiago Gonzales and Aitor Martínez in the dining room and chef Pol Bigorra in the kitchen. In an area infested with fast-food joints, Chechelnitskiy has managed to create a modern tavern for slow-cooked stews and gourmet tapas.
