The 'shoronpos' are steamed dumplings that make the restaurant Fan Shoronpo, one of the gastronomic references at the city of Barcelona. Located in the neighborhood of Gràcia, with a traditional nippon style tavern decoration, japanese chef Keita Tanaka produces manually and one by one the 'shoronpos' that their visitors love.
The base could not be simpler: wheat flour, tapioca and water. The secret is inside, where we can discover from the most classic versions to some truly breakers, as ham, black truffle or foie grass. The formula for making them not so dry resides in the broth that they contain. A delicacy that invites you to dare with its many varieties and repeat. To accompany are handmade noodles or a warm ramen bowl.
Fan Shoronpo restaurant is located in the Barcelona upper area, a few meters above Diagonal, in a modest two-storey restaurant. With a traditional Japanese decoration, the warmth of the woods on floors and tables contributes to make this place a fixed of Barcelona's people agenda.
