A space where once were the old carriages of a noble palace in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona shelters the traditional restaurant El Portalón.
In this place we will find the homemade flavors of the Catalan cuisine that for decades delights the most different diners. For that the chef Sergi Gómez has the advice of the consultant Francesc Pahissa to transform the fresh ingredients, provided by small Catalan producers, into simple and direct dishes of unforgettable flavors and smells.
A striking decoration marks the El Portalón space. Designed by the famous interior designer Estrella Salietti, it combines old pieces collected during the years of activity of the house, with more modern elements and a functional design.
Dishes: Bluefin tuna tartar "Balfegó " with avocado and tomato. Fried eggs with potatoes, rice sausage and Iberian bacon. Scrambled eggs with green asparagus, mushrooms and salmon. The pump of the spicy Siscu. Prawn batter tartare and tartar sauce. Duck confit wrapped with fresh pasta and black truffle.
