De Tapa Madre is a restaurant located in the Eixample Dret. It serves 'tapas' and Iberian food in general. Although usually full of tourists, it is actually a place that serves traditional 'tapas' for those who enjoy the authentic taste of the peninsula.
Menu offers typical castillian dishes, snacks and tapas. There's a big wine variety. It is one of those places where you can always get some 'bravas' and 'ensaladilla rusa'.
It is something quite elegant and classic at the same time. It has a large bar counter where 'tapas' can be seen and tasted. Further inland there is a zone intended to be a dining room also and has a pretty terrace at street level with high tables and oak wood color. It is open all week.
