Jordi and his wife Ruth, with the invaluable company of their parrot Ricky- run one of the most emblematic spots in the Sant Gervasi-Pàdua area, a former wine warehouse founded in 1949 that Jordi's father bought 30 years ago.
As soon as we enter the place, Bodega Pàdua takes us back in time with an incredible collection of antiques, large wine barrels, lots of wood and black and white pictures.
Open all day long, this endearing bar-restaurant serves good breakfasts in the morning, excellent vermouth before lunch and delicious tapas at any time. At lunchtime, there is a fantastic seasonal set menu, while at dinner time the menu, cooked with love by Jordi with the best products, is based on the Catalan and Mediterranean tradition.
The space is divided into a bar area by the entrance -with a couple of barrels to have a bite or drink outside-, a simple and cozy dining room and a nice outdoor patio.
