Sésamo is located very near the Mercat de Sant Antoni, Barcelona. It is a Slow Food restaurant and vegetarian cuisine. Alfredo Marcus is the owner and promotes international cuisine, using organic products.
The set menu is based on home cooking and quality. It changes seasonally to continue offering dishes with the best products, prepared with care and creativity.
The place is not too big but is very cozy. There are stone walls and an exposed kitchen. During the weekend, it is the perfect site to finish dinner with a drink and good music.
Dishes: Porcini croquettes. Gnocchi stuffed with gorgonzola cheese served with beet and toasted hazelnut sauce. Homemade puff pastry tartlet filled with mushrooms sautéed in organic brown ale au gratin with English cheddar cheese and flavoured with thyme. Quince tarte tatin with manchego cheese ice cream.
