The Berbena restaurant, 30 square meters of joy and passion, has a Michelin star. It has five tables, a bar with wood accents and leather stools to match the exposed brick walls. The kitchen is immediate, therefore, it is prepared on the spot, over a live fire and in the presence of the client.
Berbena , located a few minutes from La Pedrera, was opened in 2019 with the name that pays homage to the traditional berbena festivities. The owner Carlos Pérez de Rozas, nominated as Revelation Chef at Madrid Fusión 2021, has put together a bomb-proof team: chef Romain Hubert, pastry chef and baker Gisella de la Cruz and barista Ana Valle.
It provides contemporary and Mediterranean cuisine with a base of artisan breads and cheeses, these being the protagonists of most of the cooked dishes, along with seasonal vegetables. Berbena 's 15 suggestions enhance Pérez de Rozas' talent for creating unusual combinations with just three ingredients. 80% of the set menu is organic, including craft beer and a large selection of wines.
