Wonderfull setting. Bad piano player. Poor food quality and taste. Nice Maitre, but otherwise indifferent service. Except for the history and the building, not a good value for money. Have a drink in the bar and eat somewhere else.

The table was not quite ready when we arrived and we were offered a glass of champagne each and a plate of crevettes on the house while we were waiting. This set the tone for a relaxed evening with excellentl;y prepared food served by knowledgable, friendly, efficient wait staff. This is our third visit to Els4Gats in our last three visits to Barcelona. The quality has not wavered in the slightest. Highly recommended.

we stopped by for an snack - it wasn't a good idea. place lives of its history and the waiters seemed to have no intention to even pretend to be welcoming or friendly...nice and historic interior but only to pass by and take a picture.

The restaurant was very attractive and nicely situated. The service was friendly and very good. The food and wine wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad. I think with a little effort, the food and wine could match the ambience and service.

el local mejor que la comida, que no obstante es abundante. el servicio bueno. el ambiente ruidoso, tal vez el piano un poco mas bajo ayudaría a los clientes a no tener que gritar para hablar entre ellos. la relación calidad-precio, como es habitual ultimamente en todas partes descompensada.

El 30 de julio de 2011 fui a comer a 4 Gats y fue un auténtico desastre de comida. Por 16 euros cada comensal nos dieron basura de comer. La sopa de tomate era Tomate Solís sin más, con un poco de queso. La ternera era carne dura y chamuscada. Las albóndigas incomestibles. El helado de chocolate era polvos en un líquido espeso. Hace un año estuvo bien, pero ahora la calidad ha bajado estrepitosamente con un precio alto. Demasiada fama pienso.

El soroll ambiental, produit per les converses dels comensals arriba a ser molest, dificulta la pròpia conversa, i fa que l'àpat no sigui prou relaxat com es mereix un local excepcional.

Sin duda uno de los restaurantes más "chic" de Barcelona. El servicio un 10, la comida un 10 y el entorno inenarrable. La música del pianista te transporta con temas desde Supertramp, hasta clásicos tocados con una elegancia y nitidez inigualables. Gracias.

El local queda estrecho y muy ruidoso, entre el piano y el público cuesta mucho poder hablar. La comida correcta y los camareros amables, el WC pequeño y insuficiente para tanto público, Ahora es un lugar para turistas.
