Inaugurated in 1920 and located very close to the Atocha station, Bodegas Rosell Madrid is a traditional tavern that keeps the spirit of the nineteenth century taverns and its original facade with Talavera tiles.
The set menu offers great traditional home cooking, with cod as clear protagonist served in generous dishes and portions. A wine cellar with over 200 references.
The Rosell family transformed an old eatery to a former office of bulk wine. On the facade an advertising plonk mosaic of Valdepeñas, made Talavera tiles, typical of wineries in the late nineteenth century, early 20th century painted by the Sevillian painter Alfonso Romero shown.
Dishes on the menu: peppers stuffed with cod, tripe, mushrooms scrambled eggs with black pudding, Spanish omelet, baked cod with aioli, beef tenderloin with foie.
