Aió

Aió is a Sardinian restaurant located in the center of Madrid, in the well-known and busy district of Malasaña. Marcello and Andrea shouted in 2012 "aió" ("let's go" in Sardinian) and they turned completely in this project to bring to the Spanish capital the best and most authentic flavors of their native Sardinia.

As a 'mere' restaurant was too meanstream, these two friends are betting on a project that goes beyond gastronomy: it is a restaurant, take-away, gourmet shop where you can buy typical Sardinian products, but also sells bicycles and furniture. Returning to the gastronomy, in Aió you can taste the Sardinian specialty: pizzeta, a type of artisanal pizza, individually formatted with pasta made with natural products, round and that is folded in half.

It is a place with an informal character and quite peculiar, as it has a selection of tables, chairs, stools, and more furniture that decorate it from La Brocanterie, in its opinion, the best industrial furniture shop in Madrid, and an antiquarian of Sigüenzalo. In addition, for those who come by bike, they have a bicycle parking in the basement. They exhibit several models of Italian bikes Abici, made by hand, which can also be purchased on request.

Dishes: Veal carpaccio with Parmesan flakes, capers and truffle oil, Smoked scamorza grilled with diced tomatoes, garlic and peas, Saccottinos stuffed with pecorino cheese from Sardinia and pear with pesto de rucula, Sarda's pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, Sardinian sausage, pecorino cheese and grilled vegetables).
