Mabel The Granja opened in 1989 by the couple Juan and Maribel. In 2008, Jordi Rufino, one of the sons, decided to take responsibility in this family business located in the district Poblenou of Barcelona.
From the beginning, the restaurant has maintained the essence that is based on a daily menu with a good quality-price relation. However, since 2010 they have added more innovative dishes with international influences. The bar also serves either breakfast and afternoon snacks.
In 2011, the restaurant took reformations to adapt it into the new times. The atmosphere is pleasant and there is a familiar atmosphere. The decor is based on the art work of Coral Hernández which consists in psychedelic murals. Furthermore, they also have a terrace.
Dishes: Chickpea cream with foie coulis. Artichocke fagottini with carrot and saffron sauce. Chicken with lamb lettuce and parmesan cheese. Homemade burger with caramelized onions and Pedro Ximenez reduction. Duck confit with truffled mashed potato. Rice and lobster stew.
