In a modernist premises in the Eixample, where Beltxenea and Rilke were once, we find the JOK restaurant, open at the end of 2021. Its owners: the journalist and broadcaster Joan Maria Pou, the businessman Oriol Badia and the restaurateur Kim Díaz, have wanted to offer a cultural meeting place where you can go for lunch or dinner while listening to talks, monologues, interviews, live music, etc.
Its proposal is to make known and bring the public closer to a purely Catalan type of cuisine with a modern air. Although the set menu is not very extensive, the dishes are elaborate and with the intention of being renewed periodically to continue surprising. The most mentioned are: the mushroom cannelloni, the veal entrecote with escalivada and the red prawns with chocolate.
The first thing you see when you enter the restaurant is its extravagant cocktail bar. As we move forward we see that it is a spacious place with differentiated environments, all of them elegant and classy, which can be reserved for celebrations. It has private rooms and a private patio that surrounds us with its vegetation.
