Born originally as a bakery –the wood-fired oven remains its emblem– in the nineties, Grup Maur has today four restaurants-brasseries with matchless locations in the centre of Barcelona.
One of them –and the youngest– is Balmes/Rosselló, opened in 2011. Like the other restaurants, it bets on the origins of Catalan cuisine, the traditional coal-cooking method, the simplicity and taste of home cooking and top quality ingredients.The house’s specialties are the meat and vegetable skewers and ‘calçots’ in season, and the menu also includes a large selection of seasonal Mediterranean dishes and delicious pizzas made, of course, in the wood-fired oven.
Open every day of the year, the restaurant is a well decorated space with a bar area, ideal for a break at any time of the day and highly recommended for groups.
