In 1903 was born in La Barceloneta Can Sole, a restaurant that offers rice, fish and seafood dishes reputed to make one of the best rice dishes in Barcelona.
Its owner, Josep Maria Garcia, possesses the National Gastronomy Award. All the products of the menu are fresh and seasonal, and it includes a large variety of rices, fish or seafood. The recipes are simple, traditional and very tasty.
The place has two floors and clearly reflects the sea ambience that characterizes the area. The restaurant has white and blue colors and there are paintings with maritime motives hung throughout the room. Due to its success, many families are regular customers of this restaurant plus a few known people. It is closed Mondays and Sunday evenings.
