Cal Pep

Cal Pep is a well-known, busy and demanded restaurant from Pep Manubens. It is located in Plaça de les Olles square, at the Born district of Barcelona. The food is homemade and Mediterranean, and very demanded by the locals.

The menu consists of tapas (lids) and small dishes made mainly of fresh fish and seafood, both of very good quality. There are also other products made with meat or vegetable dishes such as potato omelette. It also has a good wine list and whiskey. Prices are somewhat high but people say it's worth it.

The place is divided into two parts: there's the bar, which usually has a long queue of people that want to take a sit, and on the other hand there's the dinning room with dining tables which are in high demand by reservation. The decoration is simple and fairly basic, but the fame of Cal Pep is not due to design but to the flavor of its requested dishes.
