Colibri , belongs to the Grupo Taberna y Cafetín, created by Sergio Gil, chef and anthropologist, and currently has 6 stores in Barcelona. It is a Mediterranean tavern that opened in the 40s in the Raval, but is currently located in one of the most touristic areas of Barcelona, La Barceloneta.
In Colibrí you can enjoy traditional tapas, well executed, typical of Mediterranean gastronomy, with local products and Slow Food philosophy, a combination of pleasure and knowledge of gastronomy.
As a personal challenge, Gil tries to return the essence of the Mediterranean tavern, through Gastropology, a discipline that studies the individual in the universe that a bar-restaurant represents. It has a modern space although it incorporates objects typical of vintage decoration, wanting to refer to its beginnings.
