Overlooking the sea and in the middle of the Barceloneta area, Barraca is a Mediterranean rice restaurant owned by the chef Xavier Pellicer, holder of two Michelin stars. It is located on the coast of Barcelona and it's dedicated to the seafood.
Barraca dishes are based on the quality of its raw materials, which are natural and ecological. As good maritime bar, the products are seasonal. The menu is simple and it specializes in rice but can also be found tapas or sea dishes. They also serve cocktails.
The place is very chic, contemporary and has great views of the sea. It is divided into two floors. Cocktails and snacks are destined to the ground floor while the dining room, which is on the top floor, is characterized by a Mediterranean atmosphere thanks to wood, white tones and sea views from the large windows. The kitchen is visible from the clients location and the prices are affordable.
Dishes: Delta rice with artichokes, cuttlefish, sausages and 'shells'. Bomba rice paella with squid, fresh fish, mussels and garlic and parsley oil. Seafood paella. Rice with lobster. Scorpion fish suquet (stew). Baked fresh fish with organic potatoes, onion jam and Niçoise tomato.
