Abissínia is an Ethiopian restaurant located in Barcelona's Gràcia district that since 2006 has been promoting the gastronomic delights of this culture among the neighbors and visitors who sit at its tables. Its formula is perfect to share and it's based on choosing one of the different dishes, that combined varied and delicious recipes from this African cuisine.
The product used is fresh and quality, based on the slow food concept, or what is the same, to cook with time and detaill. In addition, its offer includes different vegetarian versions, which makes this a perfect place for all tastes. Aromas are triggered as soon as they uncover their dishes and begin to delight its diners even before they taste it.
Abissínia is located near Joanic square, at Gràcia district, in a large and long room decorated with exotic and original motifs from Ethiopian culture. Diners can choose between sitting on stools or chairs around a table where they serve its delicious dishes.
Dishes: Meserkek (lentils cooked with onion, garlic and berberé). Dorowot (chicken stew with candied onion and tomato, accompanied by hard boiled egg and cottage cheese).
