Café de la Pedrera is the coffee bar and restaurant of the emblematic building 'La Pedrera' made by the catalan Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona. It is located in Passeig de Gràcia street next to Provença street and it's a tribute to Modernism and Catalan cuisine.
The menu is based on Catalan products and offers traditional Catalan and Mediterranean dishes. Most dishes are original and have a very good quality. It is a good place for going to lunch or having coffee.
The location is within the same Pedrera building, built in the early twentieth century and declared World Heritage by UNESCO organization. Cafè de la Pedrera mixes the modernist architecture of this famous building with a decor equally modernist, including some examples like the furniture, the lightning or the plates used to serve the dishes.
Dishes: Foie micuit with apple compote and toast. Vegetarian salad with avocado, tomato, tofu and honey and mustard vinagrette. Gnocchi with parmesan and walnuts, onion and truffle oil. Cod Catalan style with bechamel, spinach, raisins and pine nuts. Duck confit in orange sauce with fennel and celeriac purée.
