Alfredo's Barbacoa

In 1981, a New Yorker in love with Spain and the essence of the American barbecue, opened in the Salamanca district a small restaurant to which he has put his name. Little he expected that after the first Alfredo's Barbacoa two more were coming, one at the Juan Hurtado de Mendoza street and other at the Conde de Aranda street, near the the Lagasca.

After more than thirty years, Alfredo continues to offer in his restaurants the same recipe that has won a public faithful throughout all this time. In the menu, we can find the best hamburgers made with meat, delicious coleslaw and his famous homemade barbecue sauce and the best pies.

The place is usually very crowded. It is decorated with countless references to Texas and American flags, country music in the background, and displays multiple photos and portraits of the founder of the establishment, who is usually found in the corner of the restaurant, with his southern sympathy.

Dishes on the menu: chili with meat and cheese, onion rings, coleslaw à la carte, sausages with potatoes, filet mignon, chicken wings with barbecue sauce, steak barbecued, Aldredo's burger with cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce.
